If you waited until December to book your month-long sojourn on the Regal Princess in January 2017, then you waited too long! Two of the four 7-day sailings are sold out!
In March we looked at what the cost of spending January 2017 aboard the Regal Princess would be. At that time, the cost for two sharing an inside cabin was $278 per day (including gratuities.) I wondered if the price would come down if you waited to book closer to sailing.
When I went to check prices on December 16, 2016, I found that two of the sailings were sold out! So no living on the Regal if you’re booking last-minute. The price on two of the sailings has come down a little. The total cost for the two available itineraries is $3638.60 for a total of 14 nights, and the per diem per couple is $261.
It is too much of a gamble to wait until the last-minute to book these back-to-back-to-back itineraries. The cost of living on cruise ships goes up when you want to stay on a desirable ship with good itineraries like the Regal.
