Starting My Virtual Cruise Life

Norwegian Getaway April 2017 Transatlantic

My newest blog project is to plan a summer of Mediterranean travel using last-minute cruise bookings interspersed with land travel.  I want to see what the ratio of land/sea travel would turn out to be, and to come up with an approximate cost.

Is It Finally Time to Cruise to Cuba?

Several cruise lines are offering cruises that visit Cuba.  They vary widely in price as well as the number of days actually spent in Cuban ports.  I’m wondering if it is finally time for us to take a cruise to Cuba.

Living on the Norwegian Sky–Last Minute Pricing

Norwegian Sky

You can save a little money by waiting until the last minute to book the Sky.  The new per diem cost for two people is $259 a day, down from a high of $293/day in June.  One of the itineraries has sold out in the cheapest inside category, but balcony cabins are still available.

Our Norwegian Jewel Cruise Review–Part 5–Entertainment

Norwegian Jewel Stardust Theater

There was plenty of good entertainment on board the Norwegian Jewel during our recent Mexican Riviera cruise.  All of the cruise line cost cutting measures that we have seen so much of lately haven’t extended to Norwegian’s entertainment budget, as we were pleased to note.
